Sidney Kreines Sidney Kreines March 7,1918-July 25,2010 A son of Russian immigrants, Sid was an American hero as he flew 50 missions as a navigator in the United States Air Force during World War II. He went on to become a successful importer and businessman in the New York and Los Angeles areas. Sid moved his family from New York to the San Fernando Valley in 1969. Family always came first, and he was a loyal and devoted husband. Sid was a loving, dedicated father and a hero to his grandchildren. His honesty, simplicity and humbleness were admired by all who knew him, as he lived a very principled life. Sid had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed a good bloody mary and had a great passion for food. Sid will be missed and is survived by his daughters Corinne Garson and Lorna Kreines, his son-in-law, Lee Garson, and his grandchildren, Scott and Chad Garson. He will be buried next to his late wife, Gladys with honor for a life truly well-lived.
