Robert Martin Hockenberg

June 12, 1943 March 22, 2008
Born and raised in Los Angeles to Harold and Ethel Hockenberg, Bob was a graduate of Fairfax High School and the USC School of Accounting. The navy was also part of his life. Bob had a life-long love of learning and he was a proud supporter of every learning institution he was involved with.
Bob was a partner of the firm Wind Bremer and Hockenberg, LLP, Certified Public Accountants in Los Angeles. He was a member of the LA Rotary for many years and was president of the Ernst & Young Alumni Association early in its establishment.
Sports played an important part in his active and adventurous life – an avid USC college football fan, competitive bicycling, tennis, sailing and finally and probably most important, golf at North Ranch Country Club. His interest in sports allowed him to build life long friendships.
Bob is survived by his mother Ethel, spouse Katja; brother Ed Hockenberg; 3 daughters, Lauren Smith, son in law David Smith, Tracey Bond, son in law Andrew Bond and Carissa Hockenberg; 2 grandchildren, Avrielle and Chandler Smith who adored their “papa Bob”. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed but always remembered by all.
