Gene Slater Slater, Gene N. M.D. Dec 30, 1940 - July 18,2010 Resident of South Pasadena for the past 43 years. Born in Chicago, Illinois, and graduate of University of Illinois, College of Medicine, Gene moved to California in 1965 to train in radiology at County USC Medical Center. A dedicated radiologist for 25 years, Gene was also an avid lover of ethnic food, a voracious reader and a lifelong educator. Foremost, he was a loving husband to his wife of 48 years, Ruth, a devoted father to three daughters, Susan, Carol and Sharon, three sons-in-law, Evan, Paul and Uzi and 8 grandchildren, Josh, David, Sarah, Daniel, Zohar, Sapir, Ofek and Geffen. He is also survived by his mother, Ann Slater and his brother, Gary Slater. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hadassah Medical Organization, 50 W 58th St. New York, NY 10019-2590, www.hadassah .org/donate or to the charity of your choice. |
